I also had to crawl the web to find out about this issue and was very happy about the work around.

Wow! I've been plowing through an "old" TYPO3 installation for a couple of weeks trying to find out why Apache was taking up all the CPU.

Fiddled with DNS params...
Added memcached...
Correct YSlow warnings...
Nothing helped much.

Saw your site and tried your imagemagick settings ... Boom! Performance!

I cannot thank you enough!

I'm getting this server and was looking for some help as to what to do to get it set up as NAS drive.

I thought I'd have to get Ubuntu operating system but you've pointed me in the right direction.

Thanks

Hi Nicolas,

You might want to check petals bpmn open source editor<a / rel="nofollow"> . I'm not gonna lie to you, I am one of the developper working on it :p .

Its web-based, open source, and uses bpmn 2.0 specification. There is an online version so you can have a try. Just keep in mind that this is an early version (still alpha) but we have a lot of cool stuff to come on the roadmap !

I'll be glad to read your comments good or even bad ...

Hiho NFec,

Last Week, I set up my n36l with freenas 8 nightly build 8r7061 (I couldn't, somehow, use FN8.0.1BETA4. Because all the services coulnd't be started via the web frontend). I have bought additional 4 GB ECC RAM and 3 hitachi 5k3000 2T harddriver.
I set the 3 disk arry in raidZ (2 data + 1 parity) which gives me 3.6TB space effectivly.
Ram is very important for ZFS, because ZFS caches data in kernel addressable memory. With 5GB RAM, 4 GB are always used during network or local data transfer process.

Hi Seph,
after several days of running the small system I can only agree with you. 1GB RAM is absolutely not enough for running ZFS.
So far the performance was not really bad, but the system behaves a little bit strange and I do get some interruptions in regards to availability via NFS.
At http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Hardware_Requirements#RAM they do recommend to run at least 1GB RAM per 1TB Storage. Therefore I think I will go in within the next days to my local computer dealer and buy 4-6GB of RAM.
